A fatbike quickly costs hundreds of euros, and not everyone wants to pay that all at once. At Gofatbike, you can choose from three ways to pay in installments: in3, SprayPay, and Klarna. Which one suits you depends on how long you want to spread the amount and whether you prefer to be credit checked or not.

Three ways to spread the cost of your fatbike

Each of the three payment methods works differently. None is "the best"; it depends on what you need.

in3 for three interest-free installments

The easiest option. You pay your fatbike in three equal parts: one third immediately, one third after 30 days, and the last part after 60 days. No interest, no extra costs. in3 does not perform a credit check, so an existing mortgage or previous loan will not block the application. However, a light identity check is done. Applications usually succeed within a few minutes via iDEAL.

SprayPay for longer terms

Want to spread the amount further? With SprayPay, you choose a term between 6 and 60 months. You then pay a fixed amount every month. For higher amounts or longer terms, a credit check is done, so this is slightly less accessible than in3. For those who want to pay a smaller fixed amount monthly, this is usually the best choice.

Klarna for deferred payment

Klarna works differently from the other two. You pay the full amount only 30 days after receipt, in one payment. So no installments, but convenient if you want to see and try the fatbike before paying. No interest and no fees if you pay on time. There is a reminder and fees if you miss the payment deadline.

Which one do you choose?

That depends on what is important to you. in3 is arranged fastest and does not affect your credit record. The downside: you must pay everything within two months, so the individual installments remain substantial. SprayPay is convenient if you want to pay a smaller amount per month, but for larger amounts you may not always pass the credit check. Klarna is not an installment solution but a deferral: handy to receive the fatbike first and then decide, less suitable for financing an expensive purchase.

Step-by-step payment process

You choose your fatbike in the webshop and proceed to checkout. There you select the payment method. With in3, you are redirected to iDEAL to confirm your details. With SprayPay, you fill in a bit more (income, living situation, term) and immediately see the possible installment plans. With Klarna, you confirm via your email.

The application takes a few minutes in all cases. We process your order immediately after approval, so delivery time does not change due to financing. Orders placed before 23:59 mean delivery the next day, even if you pay in installments.

Frequently asked questions

Can I pay for a fatbike in 12 installments?

Yes, you can via SprayPay. You choose a term of 12 months and pay a fixed amount each month. With in3, you are limited to three installments, so that option does not work for 12. Want longer? SprayPay also offers 18, 24, 36, 48, and 60 months.

Can I buy a fatbike without a credit check?

Yes. With in3, you are not credit checked regardless of the fatbike amount. Klarna also does no credit check for the 30-day payment, only a light identity check. SprayPay does perform a check for longer terms or higher amounts.

What if I can’t pay an installment on time?

Contact the provider of your payment method as soon as possible. in3 and SprayPay do not charge interest but do charge extra fees if an installment is late. The sooner you report it, the more room there is to adjust something.

Does this also apply to accessories and parts?

Yes. You can also pay for individual parts, child seats, and accessories in installments with the same three methods. Handy if you want to complete your fatbike without paying the full amount upfront.
