What sets an RKS folding bike apart from other e-folding bikes

RKS focuses on the entry-level user. No mid-motor, no 1000W power, no torque sensor: just a 250W rear wheel motor, a 36V battery, and a folding mechanism that works. What makes the brand different from ENGWE or JOBOBIKE is the weight. An RKS folder is among the lighter models in its segment, which helps if you have to lift it regularly. Four models are featured on this page: the Nero M, the RS III Pro (in three colors), the MX 25 Pro, and the La Rose. The price ranges vary, so there is both an affordable entry-level option and a more robustly equipped model.

Four models, four different bikes

The Nero M has the largest range in the collection, around 70 km, making it suitable for those who want to take longer rides. The RS III Pro is the all-rounder. Compact folder, great support, available in black, white, and silver. The MX 25 Pro has a lower range of around 30 km and is more of a short-distance bike for city use. The La Rose is the women's model: low step-through, anthracite frame, comfortable riding position. What suits whom? If you’re unsure between the Nero M and RS III Pro, look at the range and frame design. Those who carry it often benefit from the lighter model.

Compact in a few steps

A folding bike only earns its name if it folds quickly. With every RKS model, it takes seconds: lower the handlebar, fold the frame in two, and done. The battery is within reach and removable, so you don’t have to carry the whole bike upstairs to charge it. Thanks to the 20-inch wheels, the bike stays compact when folded and fits in most car trunks. Keep in mind that an electric folding bike is still a bike. Carrying one weighing around 22 kilos at a station is doable, but climbing three flights of stairs becomes a task. For indoor storage, the RKS is perfectly suitable: behind the front door, in a storage room, or under a staircase cupboard.

Who is an RKS folding bike suitable for?

Unsure whether to choose a regular electric bike or a folding bike? Ask yourself how often you need to store, fold, or carry it. Those who live every day in an apartment without a bike storage room, or take the bike on the train, in the car, or camper, benefit greatly from a foldable model. For long daily rides of 50+ km, a fatbike or city e-bike is often more practical. RKS clearly targets the entry-level segment. This works well if this is your first electric bike and you don’t want to jump straight into the top segment. Sporty cyclists who demand more motor power or support should look at broader fatbike folding bikes. Read the product specs carefully before choosing, especially weight and range are important.
